Snow Day - Part 2
We were getting so sick of being stuck inside that we decided to venture to Northgate mall today. It took us about three times longer than normal to get there, mostly because the bus couldn’t get traction on hills and kept sliding backwards. The roads were absolutely terrible, and we saw a car spin completely around and onto the wrong side of the street on 105th. Totally not scary at all. We also spent a good while waiting for paramedics to come check out a girl who had fainted on the bus, and luckily she ended up being alright. Eventually we made it there, and wandered around the mall for a while only to find that almost everything was closed. We finally made it home just before dark.
I love the snow, but I think we’re both ready to say goodbye now. I’d like to be able to walk to the mailbox without looking like I belong on an expedition in Antarctica.

Tonight as I walked out of the hair salon I stopped dead in the middle of the street when I noticed the sky. Right then I got a text from Jon that said “Look outside!”
So I forgot about my plan to fold laundry (darn) and booked it to the beach. The park was almost completely empty and I sat on the rocks for a good while watching the sun fall behind the mountains. The photos I got with my phone don’t even come close to doing it justice.
I think it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
